The foundation of my survival of the last few months is continually strengthening faith founded in reading my Bible daily and doing daily devotional. Faith is a solid foundation; a rock foundation. It can be worn and weathered  but it can be repaired and re-strengthened. I have found the journey has been an amazing one. A path that is not smooth and straight but one that leads to Heaven and Jesus walks with me.

Have you ever noticed that you are more likely to pray when you need something….we should be praying when we are thankful as well. We should be praying when we sad as well as happy; joyful and disappointed. We should be praying in the ups not just the downs!

Your prayer can be a simple “Thank you, Heavenly Father.”

Over the past the 60 plus days of daily devotional and bible reading, I have found myself falling more and more in love with my faith and my heavenly family!! I have learned that everything can go wrong in my day and I still have a lot to say thanks to God for. I have found myself in tears of joy more and more lately as I grow closer to my Heavenly Father.

I have found the less I talk about praying more and just get down to doing the talking with God, my life gets simpler in a very weird way. Although I still have so much to do, I find myself stressing a lot less over it and worrying a lot less about things but instead turning to my Heavenly Father to asking for guidance, love, mercy, anything and everything. It longer is “IF only…” but instead “Heavenly Father, I am giving this cross you to carry. I can not do this by myself but you can!”

GOD has been softening my heart to this concept for a few years now. When he knew I was ready to face it, HE returned the thought the forefront of my mind to see what I would do. I ran with it. I am not prefect nor will I ever profess to be; However I am remembering that when I find myself on my knees because of life, that is the prefect time to pray; when I find myself with a few seconds I pray! God works in interesting ways. He told me to take the month of February and focus on HIM and my academic life; So I did.

My perfect Sunday would be different from a typical Sunday because right now I spend Sunday either doing homework form my classes or journaling and relaxing with friends on campus.

My perfect Sunday would start out with confession followed by Eucharistic Adoration which would lead into Latin mass. I would be wearing a mantilla, a dream of mine; a little unachievable right now since I do not own one nor do I go to a church for the year where a mantilla would be accepted easily. But I am still thinking of getting one and wearing it anyway.

Anyway back to my perfect Sunday, Latin mass would lead back into Eucharistic Adoration. Eucharistic Adoration is one of the greatest graces God has ever given me. I remember the first time I remember participating in Eucharistic Adoration; it was a college student – high school student meet up in December 2006. I found an amazing peace and had a fantastic conversation with my heavenly father about free will and listening. Eucharistic adoration causes me to slow down and figure out what direction my life is taking.

After mass and Eucharistic Adoration a walk in nature would in order. I would likely take a small notebook with pen,  my rosary, and small water bottle. I would just walk and talk  to God. I have always loved nature; I find peace there. Talking to God is so much easier when you yourself are at peace or at least in a peaceful place. After the walk, I would sit in silence doing my daily devotional plus daily reading. Something, I might even do outside in nature.

Spending the day in total adoration/devotion of God would be fantastic. To be able to sit and talk with God through confession, mass, and prayer is always a blessing but to be able to spend all day doing so has not been something I have been able to do in a long time. As stressed as I seem to get my daily devotional/bible reading time is helpful as is mass. But to be able to spend the whole day chatting with God and aligning my dreams/goals with HIS plan for me, would be perfect.

I would likely end the day watching a Christan movie (like Fireproof or Jesus Christ Superstar).

So what does NARAL mean by choice? Do you mean that I get to chose my hairstylist? Are we talking about my choice to go to a private college versus a public college?

Women are risking cancer, breast cancer as American Papist shares with us.  NARAL continue to tell us that the 2010 increase the “anti-choice” politicians lose in america. I say GOOD!!!! That means more babies are saved!

I have always been prolife, as I am Catholic. Also because I don’t believe in the killing of the innocents. Not that I am for the killing of anyone at all for any reasons but that is a whole other discussion.

If you do not want the child, then don’t have sex because the main purpose of sex is not to feel good but to produce children. As a person very close to me once send “God made sex fun because HE knew humans were lazy and if it was not fun or entertaining we would not reproduce. Therefore, HE made it feel good.”

Unborn life is scared and should be cherished.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

God knows us and loves us. HE sends us to help spread the word of HIS everlasting Love. Part of spreading his love is praying for all of the little souls and their mothers.

Human life must be respected  and protected absolutely  from the moment of conception. From the first moment if his existance, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person–among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.”

Every life is valuable from Conception until Death! Conception is the moment that the sperm meets and joins with the egg.

Remember that YOUR mom choice life for you so please do the same for YOUR children.

In honor of national vocation week (this week January 9th-15th) I bring you the above video.

I pray that although discerning find God’s Will. I am still figuring out exactly what God’s plan for me is but it seems to me that I have found at least part of it; teaching. So what is HE calling you and me to do??? Why don’t you ask HIM??? Spend some extra time with him in prayer; even better spend it in mass or Eucharistic adoration.

Another day in the life…my life of rotating rollercoaster rides; No Matter What I will find my strength in you in God. No matter how hard it gets, I will find solace in your loving embrace….

As I wrote tonight and prayed as well as questioned over the past 24 hours one song came to mind; No Matter What by Kerrie Roberts. This song has been much loved on my ipod since it came out in the summer 2010.

Kerrie has right…No matter what I will follow GOD….I been much over the past 3 year I will not give up now! I will run back to GOD always. I may not be able to make alone but I WILL make it with GOD love and mercy!

As I figure out what is going on with this surprise I will share a little more but for now, I pray to GOD that HE will help me handle this curve in the road.

The first “I’ll be brave this Christmas” brings back memories of the times that my father was not home for special occasions and has me sending a Merry Christmas out to all of our troops and their families.

The next one “Christmas makes me cry” is a duet between Matthew West and Mandisa. It talks about the emotions that come with Christmas with a nod to the troops. The tears spilled at Christmas are those of Joy 90% of the time. The tears are spilled because of hope, thankfulness, and peace found. So…YES…Christmas makes me cry!!!

And finally….”Christmas with a capital C”….welcome to a pet peeve of mine. Although I might forget the reason for the season sometimes; Christ is the reason for advent and Christmas. Go Fish Guys makes that clear in their song; have a listen!

So…YES Christ is still intimidating people, 2000 plus years later!

I love Lion King 1, 1.5, and 2!! I love travelling back down memory lane with Disney! But what I love the most is that most of their songs speak to my life. Like tonight I was/am working on a paper and listening to my music favorites on youtube and the above video came on. There my brain went…it went thinking about the meanings of the song.

A parent to a child telling them they will always be there for their kid; God reminding us that we will always him and we need to live together with our fellow human beings; on top of needing to get along with each other we need to get along with the planet: We truly are one!

The Catholic Church always knew that we are one in GOD’s body.

We are one body, one body in Christ;
and we do not stand alone.
We are one body, one body in Christ;
and he came that we might have life.

so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others : Romans 12:5

Yes, the Church has made mistakes,but so do we! We are all human. So, if we are one in God’s Body; why are we forgetting that?
